Embracing SK Dirjen Dikti No. 1781/D/T/2005, ATMI is carrying on the study program of Machine and Mechanic Design Engineering. ATMI places the big expectation to the graduates of this study. They shall:
- posses the practical knowledge and practical knowledge for mechanic manufacture and plastic process.
- posses the analysis capacity and apply mechanic manufacture and applied one.
- design or pan the mechanism of machine or component in manufacture industry due to high quality standard.
- design automation process in manufacture industry.
- design drawing product, jig and fixture progressive dies, plastic mould manually or with the help of CAD, CAM, and CAE.
- posses the spirit of leadership, honesty, responsibility.
- posses the spirit of entrepreneurship.
This study program also sets up the students to be a highly competent professional in a range of field, especially in industrial areas and to be capable of applying the knowledge from ATMI in order that they can hold a number of the following positions, later on;
The design of manufacture machine, mold and dies, mold and dies, jig and fixture.
Automation process in manufacture industry.
The design of product and component in manufacture industry or automotive.
The analysis of product and process.
Teaching Staff
The teaching delivery taking place three years in ATMI are then supported by teachers, the professional, lecturers, and instructors from various disciplines with various degrees not only from national institution but also international ones.
The degrees of the graduates and the academic status
The professional degree as Ahli Madya ( Amd ) in the field of Machine and Mechanic Design Engineering will officially be handed over to students completing the study and passing both the practical or theoretical examination due to the terms and conditions issued.
Curriculum
To meet those expectations, afterward, ATMI introduces curriculum covering 33% for theory and 67 % for practical. Both portions of teaching delivery are designed in a six-semester period or in the three year of level. Those are using package system and dropped-level system. First Year
- Basic Manufacture Process including bench work, drilling process, turning process,milling process will focus on mentality and independence of the student.
- Center for Tool including grinding machine and cutting tools
- Basic for Technical Drawing
- Electricity and Basic Electronic
- Supporting theories are as much as 34% from total of study period in the first year.

Second Year
- Applied Manufacture Process including turning and milling machining process will focus on the productivity.
- Assembly line including the finished machines assembling, inspection and quality control.
- Heat treatment
- Universal Grinding.
- Welding with electric and acetylene.
- Design software like AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor Professional, Catia Dassault System.
- General Mechanic Design consisting of design and part drawing, product design, drawing, drawing of machines component and machining mechanism.
- Jig and Fixtures which covers tool kit of designing process, positioning, to ease and fasten the manufacture process
- Press working which covers tools like punching, piercing, blanking, bending, stamping, deep drawing and progressive dies.
- Supporting theories are as much as 34% from total of study period in the second year.

Third Year
- Advanced Manufacture Process covering machining process on the turning and milling CNC or High Qualified Machine to meet the World Class Standard Demand
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic
- Controlling Technique
- Digital Technique
- PLC (Programmable Logic Control). Programming PLC with software step 7 of Siemens
- Product Planning and Development
- Design of Mold covering mould and dies for plastic and aluminum.
- Machining Design covers customize machine, special purpose machine, and assembly machine.
- Supporting theories are as much as 34% from total of study period in the third year.

To support the qualification, we also serve one machine for one student grouped into several laboratories due to their courses they take.
